So how can you use this as a blog traffic strategy?
1)If you are promoting a site or blog in home repair or home services you know there is some decent traffic and that your can inflience people by possibly starting a forum answering questions related to this area or start questions or answer then in yahoo answers which is ranking well these days
2)Having a web property in this area you need to be geo-targeting or targeting a local niche
so make sure this is reflected in your keywords.
3)If you are directly involved in a product or service site in this area make sure you show information about licensing and bonding. If you are doing afiliate sales make sure the site you are promoting has this infomation available
4)You could drive traffic to your web property by advertsing in the traditional media which directs them to your site.
5)Your keywords could target an emergency service needed in this area such as flooding, leaky roofs or gas leaks

According to McAfee's findings, you can increase conversion rates 11% higher for digital window shoppers who were shown a security cue, and the longer it took a customer to complete a sale, the more responsive they were to security cues.
"Online retailers who ignore the role security plays in converting digital window shoppers to customers are missing out on billions of dollars they can’t afford to lose in this economy," said Shane Keats, senior research analyst for McAfee. “Many will take traditional measures to get customers to return, like reducing shipping costs or offering coupons, but more can and should be done.”
A couple more noteworthy findings:
- 65% of all shoppers will wait a day or more to complete a purchaseNaturally, whether they come back or not, this indicates that shopping cart abandonment is at play. A few months ago, PayPal released results from a survey on shopping cart abandonment, and here are the reasons that were cited:
- The average delay is 33 hours and 54 minutes
- High shipping charges: 46 percentWebProNews/SmallBusinessNewz writer Doug Caverly recently reported, "One cause of abandonment is 'couldn't find preferred pay option.' Another's 'item unavailable at checkout.' Then 'couldn't find customer support' and 'security concerns' kick in."
- Wanted to comparison shop: 37 percent
- Lack of money: 36 percent
- Wanted to look for a coupon: 27 percent
- Wanted to shop offline: 26 percent
- Couldn't find preferred pay option: 24 percent
- Item was unavailable at checkout: 23 percent
- Couldn't find customer support: 22 percent
- Concerned about security of credit card data: 21 percent
Sidenote: Here are some other good tips for optimizing your e-commerce conversions:
McAfee suggests that the abaondoned carts don't necessarily mean the customers won't still buy though. "Retailers shouldn’t misinterpret abandoned shopping carts – many of these potential sales return later to finalize the sale," said Keats. "Understanding this delay is critical for merchant analytics."
That's not to say that that if you are selling things online, there isn't a good chance you are missing out on a substantial amount of money you easily could be making, if you only examined why people are leaving the shopping cart. Just focus on the ones who aren't coming back.

Some of these sites offer more of a static page rather than a blog like hubpages or squidoo but there is an element of communication you can have with views through comments so I included them.
I hope this will get you started off on the right foot. When i first started i couldn't find all this information in one spot but was scattered all over the net that is why i wrote this post. I also put them in order of Page Rank.
- Blogger.com PR8 allows not only AdSense but all other forms of PPC advertising and affiliate links. Since its free its my fist choice also. But beware that it is owed by google, and i have heard complaints from some bloggers that they have had their blog deindexed so make sure you abide by their policies. You can also put opt-in boxes there.
- Squidoo.com PR7 allows PPC advertising but you cannot choose by who. They allow affiliate links but no opt-in boxes(although I've head there is a way around this). Pretty easy to set-up.This is a static page rather than a blog.
- Hubpages.com PR6 is another static page rather than a blog. Allows AdSense and other PPC advertising. Very easy to set-up. Allows opt-in boxes
- Blogdrive.com PR6 allows PPC advertising but you cannot choose. The layout of the blogs for blogdrive are a little inflexible unless you upgrade by paying. You can still post aff links though and put an opt-in box here though as well as ads in the sidebar area and in posts.
- Tblog.com PR6 allows ppc advertising and opt-in boxes. I had trouble getting an account though. After i signed up i never received my verification email thus i couldn't log in.HMMM
- Freeflux.net PR5 allows AdSense and aff links as well as opt-in boxes
- 20six.co.uk PR5 allows PPC advertising, aff links and opt-in boxes also. As well it is one of the biggest UK blogging communities. So if you want access to foreign markets here ya go.
- Infobarrel PR4 allows AdSense very easy to set-up . This is more of a static page as well
- Bloghi PR$ allows PPC advertising and opt-in boxes.
- Netcipica PR4 allows advertising and you to actually charge a monthly or annual fee for your expertise on a subject.If you already have some authority in an offline business this may be a great way to turn it into an extra income stream
- Blogr.com PR4 allows AdSense and other PPC as well as opt-in box's and aff links
- SHoutpost PR4 allows you to run your own ads has recently been acquired by tblog. You will have to sign up with tblog.
- Blogtext.org PR4 Biggest drawback is that you have to run AdSense ads in your template other than that its very easy to use
- Newblog.com PR3 alot like blogtext takes only seconds to set up.
- Blogpico.com PR2 uses wordpress software so you have access to all those sweet plug-ins on the net for free. Very versatile and easy to use. I would recommend this over wordpress.com not wordpress.org(since you have to pay for the hosting).
- Blogono.com PR2 Has tons of AdSense blocks all over the page. There is a possibility to make big $ here if you do your KWR properly despite the low PR rating you don't always need a high PR to rank well
- Solobis.net PR2 uses worpress software also. Pretty much excatly like blogpico except without the community. On the other hand solobis gives you tuturials on how to makw money with a blog.
- Weebly PR7 which is a last minute addition and should put it near the top. Its extremely easy to use. You earn 50% of the adsense revenues created from this account.
- Xanga PR which is another last minute addition allows adsense only for the premium account which can be attained by getting credits through writing promo posts on your free basic account .

Model Liskula Cohen sues Google over blogger's 'skank' comment

Liskula Cohen, a blond beauty who has modeled for Giorgio Armani and Versace, made headlines last year when a doorman at a Manhattan hot spot was jailed after smashing her in the face with a vodka bottle.
Now she wants to force Google to reveal who slammed her online as the "#1 skanky superstar" on a blog hosted by the search engine's subsidiary.
"It's petty, it's stupid and it's pathetic," Cohen said of the sniping. "And when I do find out who did this, at least I'll know who my enemies are."
"We think we have a case," he said. "This is libelous, it's defamatory and you shouldn't just get away with this."
On the site, Cohen is ridiculed as a desperate "fortysomething" who "may have been hot 10 years ago."
The Canadian cutie is actually 36, according to records.
"Desperation seeps from her soul, if she even has one," the site spews.
The stinging posts have been met on the blog with fiery comments in Cohen's defense from someone identified only as "liveandlove."
"Are you one of those little dumpy girls who hang off her every word?" liveandlove wrote. "Or do you wait three hours in line at a club, when she breezes right in?" Cohen's mystery defender also theorized that the mean posts were the work of a "silly, silly fat girl."
"Tell me, are you easier to walk over or around?" liveandlove wrote. Cohen tearfully said she's disgusted by the site.
"I'm tall, I'm blond, I've been modeling for many years, and people get jealous," she said. "If I had to deal with everyone who is jealous, I wouldn't have time to do anything else."
Google declined to discuss specifics in Cohen's complaint.

For this experiment i decided to test out squeeze pages, opt-in pages, blogs, and affiliate program landing pages. The majority of these pages were geared towards Internet marketers.
With traffic swarm you can have a maximum of 10 ads at once per account(for the free account). So i opened 4 accounts and ran 10 ads for each of the 4 categories described above.
I tried using large and small boxes for the ads as well.
So after getting 300 page views for each of the 40 pages(12000 total) how did my experiment fair?
I got 3 opt ins out of 6000 page views(blogs & opt-in pages). and zero sales in total(from affiliate links and squeeze pages). I did however receive 4 additional back links and out of the page views.
In the beginning i didn't expect much to happen. I knew it would be full of other Internet marketers by myself. The majority of my pages were getting opt in rates around 15-25% and i generally get sales in the 1-3% range.
What these results told me is that its a big waste of time unless you can get alot of credits, put it on autopilot and forget about it.But sitting there day and day out click click click is a waste of time. If you preferred to buy credits it ,may work out favorably for you. In order for that to be worth your while you will need to calculate the CPA(cost per acquisition of a customer). You calculate this by dividing the total amount spent on advertising and dividing it by the # of people that either purchased something from you or or opted-in.
So in conclusion it is a waste of time to click to earn credits but may be worth your while to buy the credits and put it on autopilot. From my understanding pretty much all manual traffic exchanges work the same way so i don't think this strategy will work on another traffic exchange other than traffic swarm. If you still want to try yourself i'd recommend www.froggyblaster.net since your account with them accesses over 55+ traffic exchanges. Its like killing 55 birds with one stone.
